MY ADVICE TO GHANAIAN

I recently listened to an audio recording on a social media from someone who claimed to be an African American with concern for Ghanaians over the USA_Ghana Military Agreement. His use of unprintable words in describing our President repulsed me and provoked the following thoughts from my heart to fellow law-abiding Ghanaian citizens:

Let us not be used by anyone in forwarding and circulating information that are of bad taste especially when it is against personalities and our image as Ghanaian.

If we couldn't erase Kwame Nkrumah, Joseph Ankra, Akwasi Afrifa, Kofi Busia, Ignatius Acheampong, Fred Akufo, Jerry Rawlings and other leaders who have lead us as Ghanaians out of our history books for one reason or the other, certainly Nana Akufo Addo has come to remain with us and even our children yet unborn. For good or bad leadership, history will certainly tag him to us.

Let's maintain the fight in unity against unhealthy policies that will not help our children. Our fight should never be directed at personalities.

Nana Akufo Addo is our President and ought to be respected as such. He is the image of God and appointed by Him to lead us in times like this.

God gave us Ghanaians our heart desire. We needed change. Here is the CHANGE we cried for. Hmmmm, I can hear someone reading this and saying: "But wait, I didn't vote for him"... Yes, maybe you didn't but the majority of Ghanaian did so and that's what count!

No more insult please at personalities! Let the fight be fair as true advocates!!

2020 might seems to be very far for some who are awaiting another CHANGE but; it will soon be here with us. And so, while patiently waiting for it, let's keep pushing for the annulment of any policy that will not advance the cause of Ghana and that of our children. They should not live to curse our memory if we turn a blind eye to protecting their future.

The people's Representatives in the House we voted them in are there for us and must listen to us. We Ghanaians have neither guns nor bullets but do have our sovereign right as Ghanaian.

I want our leaders to know and be reminded that even though our cry might not some times be heard and heeded to, we as Ghanaians still possess the Kokromoti Power with us. Lesson from 2016 should be your recent reminder.

We truly do have only one President and that's what made us unique as Ghanaians. No one can stand on the street to declare himself as President if not by the power of our thumb.

Don't forget that the present constitution was sign with the blood of an individual who fought for justice and it has remained so up to date across party lines.

Long live Ghana
Long live our Constitution
Long live our Presidency
Long live our Parliament

and certainly,
Short live all policies that will not be beneficial for the good of our children.
