What investment are you making into your life? I traveled with my
pastor to our mission field yesterday and arrived late in the evening. We both
lodged in a room at the Community’s Cultural Center.
From 8 pm to the early hour of this morning, I saw a group of over
50 young boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 25 dancing to the beat of different
kinds of music while some were at the back of the building satisfying their
lust.
The President is visiting the community this morning at 9 am to
commission an historic Bui Dam project and these young ones are wasting their
energies and time away with self gratification on lifestyle that adds no value
to their future. Those who lived this sort of lifestyle in the past will better
advice their young ones not to dabble in it because, such life didn’t payoff
positively.
We ought to know and teach our young ones that this life is short
while the eternity is long wherever we spent it, be it God’s Kingdom or Hell.
Know that we usually get out of life what we invest into it except in rare
circumstance where divine providence takes over.
Don’t worry about certain unpleasant situations that might or has
come your ways. If your investment to this life and on the lives of others is positive,
you will certainly live to reap its results at the end of it all.
We must live each day asking ourselves: What if today is to be my
last day on earth, how would I want to spend it? Is there any savings in my
heavenly account that I can depend on when I could finally reach there?
Beloved, we can’t afford to take our eyes off the Lord and His Word.
We don’t need to delay in acting according to our individual conviction based
on the foundation of the Word of God.
