LESSON FROM LAZARUS

"Our reward is not in heaven after living miserable life here on earth....Learn lessons from Lazarus." - Jerry Otoyo
After posting the above thoughts on my Facebook's wall, I noticed that there was no comments from friend and more so, there was fewer likes. Even the three who 'likes' at the time of this writing reserved their comments.... But one Pastor who have not commented nor 'liked' any of my posting for over two year now was bold to ask the following question:

"Was Lazarus life miserable?"

Hence my responds to that question:

No child of the Kingdom lives as a beggar at a rich man's gate, more so, to a man who is not working in the will of God. Full of sores that was desirous of the rich man's dogs (Note: not one dog but dogs), what a live to live?

His desire to be feed with crumbs from the rich man's table while at his gate meant that he will always waiting for the him to finish eating with his family before the house servant could gather the left over for Lazarus.

He was also known personally by the rich man however because, while in Hell, he recognizes him with Abraham but guess what, Even in hell, the rich-man still had courage to sent Lazarus on errand if not for the intervention of father Abraham.

My exploration of the Bible since 1986 reveals that great men who followed God in the Bible where also blessed in this life and none of them went to Abraham's bosom. Why is it that only Lazarus was mentioned in this light?

In my Father's house are many mansions..... These were Jesus' own Words. Abraham had his mansion there where he accommodated Lazarus. David would have his too and so to Joshua, Caleb, Solomon and many others in the Bible.

I know we are all students of God's word but with different understanding which is primarily based on our relationship with God, our Father.

I am one person who have chosen not to follow God as my master (with the task-master ideology) but as My Father and KING. He is the Master of my life and that is why I seek to obey the slightest of His bidding for me in my journey with HIM.

Life might not be easy while here on earth but at the same time, we cannot also be a disgrace to the Kingdom of God.
